Levelling Up with ClassForKids

Let’s Rewind to January 2022

At ClassForKids, we knew it was time to give back to our community. So in January 2022, we decided to run a contest for kids activity club owners to win a business makeover worth £10k. We're talking about a total overhaul in branding, social and ad content, and design - you name it, it was there!

For many activity club owners, passion for their skills and improving children’s skills often outweighs the time spent developing their business - whether that's working on business and marketing strategies or growing personal goals and skill sets. And we knew it was time to change that. So we set out on the journey of a lifetime to change one person's life.

“When I won the Level Up contest, I was blown away… I remember I got the phone call, and I was smiling so much that my face hurt. I wanted something to give me the push to work a little harder… It felt incredible. I was just so grateful.”

That person was Lauren, the Director of the Avenue Dance Company (ADC), based in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire & London. Winning the Level Up contest has propelled Lauren’s success with new initiatives, strategies and confidence to achieve her goals.

After four years of successfully running her dance school, Lauren was looking for something to push her in a new direction. But as a sole owner, Lauren often felt isolated when making decisions about her business. After coming across the Level Up contest, Lauren decided to fill out her entry to take her business to the next level with support from our team of in-house experts and other industry leaders.

Over the next nine months, Lauren worked alongside our team of in-house experts and some of the leading experts in branding, mentoring and dance school ownership to take her business to the next level. From social media advice to graphic design to marketing and paid media strategies, Lauren spent the next nine months with the ClassForKids team focusing on crucial areas in her business.

“The team at ClassForKids goes above and beyond. Even though I’ve completed my sessions, I know that I can drop a message to any of you, and you’ll be there on hand to help.”

Lauren wanted branding that would clearly show potential customers what the ADC stood for and brand guidelines that would help her maintain consistency.

Finding it hard to take a step back and delegate to her team, Lauren was looking for someone to inspire her to hand over the day-to-day running so she could focus on the future.

Aside from announcing our winner to the world, Nikki used experience from his days as a tennis coach and club owner to help Lauren define her goals. Together they set out realistic goals and increased her confidence in decision making.

The ClassForKids Team

Working alongside the panellists, the ClassForKids team helped Lauren with everything from social media advice to Facebook ad builds and budgets to creative designs and templates. Now Lauren enjoys creating content, has ideas on how to attract new customers, and understands the importance of creating a social strategy.
